It was all playing in my head, old grainy snapshots like a movie. Stale soda, video game tattoos, thrift boots, soaked sheets, faded band t-shirt, socks on the floor, Lords of Acid, a red tie put to different purpose, bubble gum laughter, a hand enveloped in mine, talking about tomorrow. No regrets.

I can afford to be nonchalant about the chill winds that this world chooses to throw my way. I've paid the cost to be myself when most of what I see are caricatures of people. Masks and smoke. I am vulnerable and exposed under an eternal sun that cleanses away my frailties. I don't buy it. #emoetry
