What I don’t understand about the #PostOfficeScandal is that many of the Post masters/mistresses paid thousands of their own money into the system to try and plug the apparent holes. Where did it go? Has anyone actually balanced the post office books to work out the real financial state of PO?

Mining service pilgrimage today. For some reason, despite more publicity than usual, we had a teeny group of 4 of us and only thirty (as opposed to 80 last year) at the service.

I totally recommend a night away camping with your bestie, a few ciders, and no responsibility (apart from the dog!). In just 24hrs I relaxed and unwound and some local thought I was the local MP (who happens to be an older man and a distant cousin, so that’s a bit odd!!).

Really interesting how often I find that church folk will mention everything except the reason we are there when you ask them what they love!! (I added faith at the end of the conversation.) I do think this is a significant factor in why we struggle to connect with folk outside church.

We have a rough sleeper by our church. Called local homeless charity; no answer. Called council helpline; can’t help, we don’t have cold weather protocol. So church is paying for a hotel for weekend until we can try and access other agencies. It’s heartbreaking.

When you turn up to baptise a baby and a Godparent… and discover that you actually need to Baptise two Godparents!! Quick conversation in front of the gathered congregation and it seems she is indeed willing to Submit to Christ. So I baptised a bonus extra! I owe her a candle though!! #Baptism
