I fully support the demand to de-sanction this event and not award WPPRs.

I am completely uninformed here. I don't even know what state OBX is in, or the current legislative rights or anti-rights. But fuck this. Pinball is for everyone. Pinball should be a safe space, but sadly continues not to be.

I released an update to Bird Watcher for the Multimorphic P3 pinball platform today. It adds support for the new Portal module (which I am a developer on)

I feel since the big Kashi strike, quality control has gone downhill. I often get incorrectly packaged bars. This was surprising though, 7 bars instead of 5. Weight was way off. Heck, this might have set off the self checkout machine at the grocery store.

My disappointment in Google is difficult to put into words. The company I left at the end was not the same as the company I joined at the beginning. #septembit day 13 and 14. Fire Hydrant and Restaurant. I was at a pinball event yesterday (I had fun, but was disappointed with my play/finish) so I had missed yesterday's drawing. The Hydrant was hard. I drew 4 of them before settling in this composition.

Let's start with murder is awful and wrong. Whether that is Kirk, or Hortman, or Thompson or 11 Venezuelans on a boat. I had never heard of Charlie Kirk before yesterday. It has been fascinating to get a skewed picture of who he was only from posts on social media across the political spectrum.

#septembit Day 9. Shop. Continuing my bird theme and my isometric view have been trying. The roof doesn't really work, but I kind of like it anyway.

#septembit day 7. Rail Track. Since my repeats are not on the square tile this cheats a little to show the repeat (the repeat is on the 1/2 square offset but the other tiles fill it). But that is fine, the rules are more suggestions.

#septembit Day 6. Car. I really struggled with this. I tried a bunch to do a more isometric / perspective car. But failed. So we get an orthographic side view. At least it reads as a car

#septembit day 5. Sign. This is intended to be a welcome sign for my city. Since my mayor is an Owl, I guess it is a city of birds. I always find mini fonts really interesting. Some people are really good at minimal representation. This could probably be smaller, but it reads clear.

#septembit day 4. Factory. Things we know about peaches. 1. They come from a can. 2. They were put there by a man. 3. In a factory, downtown.

#septembit day 3. Road. I wanted to try some perspective on this. I am reasonably happy with it. Not thrilled with the dithering on the sky, but I tried other patterns they interfered too much with the trees on the right. I think it is close to working.

#septembit day 2. Traffic Cone. I went Montreal style cone (cylinder shaped) instead of the classic cone shape.

In university, I had a friend who was not permitted to travel to the US. As he told the story, when crossing for an academic conference, they asked him if he had ever been a member of the communist party.

I am ready to give blippo+ another look. I didn't really give it a fair shake. I opened it week 1, flipped through a few channels, but never really connected with any of it. I also really didn't get how I was supposed to consume content. A lot of people I know really enjoyed it, so time for a redo.

I am not going to be a GitHub Chicken Little, but I am definitely worried about the future. I am ok with depending on Microsoft, but I am not convinced we are aligned on priorities. Anyone have any favourite alternatives? Both for OSS and private cloud repositories?

I ended up 19th in The Beast Classics. I got knocked out my zmac and Paul Englert, so am can't really expect to win. My very slim out underdog story on Stars was fun for a while, even though in reality I was only a 1/4 of the way to the monster score I needed. I am happy with my finish.

Day one of The Beast pinball tournament is in the books. We had to replace one machine. Games are playing reasonably. I am having an ok run in classics. I still have work to do, but it is a good foundation. I have no played much main, but have a good Bond60.
