Ever wondered what function the white granules in Cassiopea might have? In our latest work we use OCT to investigate the micromorphology and optical properties of Cassiopea tissue, and show that white granules enhance photosynthesis of nearby symbionts. royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/...
