Asking/telling ppl, "Trust me," is a poor way to gain their trust. I always preferred implying you don't have to trust me, and then showing a supporting public record of my decision process and actions.

Correction: According to the synopsis of the Coleman sequel COLORBLIND, the man who turns out to be Jesse's son is "twenty-something," which can be as high as 29, older for ppl in their 30s trying to deny their age. Even if Jesse were 18 when he impregnated a girlfriend, that would make him 38 now.

I've never been a Flash Gordon fan b/c of its Yellow Peril portrayal of Ming. He's supposed to be extraterrestrial, so why is he named and does he look Asian? Why is his planet called Mongo? Smh. The 1980s Defenders of the Earth cartoon turned him green, no improvement.

Has Jesse Stone grown older than Spenser? Stone was introduced at 35 in NIGHT PASSAGE, Spenser at 37 in THE GODWULF MANUSCRIPT; however, Spenser stopped at "middle-aged" while Reed Farrel Coleman's sequels gave Jesse an 18-21 year-old son.

I don't think sequels should tarnish the legacy of original or previous films. Sequels can be made decades apart. The original film may not have planned on sequels. Likewise, I think sequels should stand on their own. Sequels that lean on previous films are kinda cheating.
