Of course, Saturn was better known for its IMMENSE conversions of 2D fighters X-Men isn’t my fave but it laid some bloody good ground work for the wave of Capcom brilliance that was to come! #SaturnDay

It took a generation and a complete gaming revolution but by the mid-90s other fighters finally turned our heads from Street Fighter 2!! And most of them were on Saturn!! Fighting Vipers was a big win for 3D - the precision of VF but with added pizazz!! Yes please! #SaturnDay

Wave 131 is less heralded than some of Streets of Rage 2’s tracks - but it’s still a total belter! It’s a straight mix of EDM beats and one of the best examples of Yuzo Koshiro bending the Mega Drive’s sound chip to be exactly like the dance scene of the early 90s! youtube.com/shorts/QHzDc...
