The consulting firm that helped Palantir market this technology to agencies like ICE is WestExec Advisors — the same firm that employs a consultant who authored a memo advising Democrats to stop saying "Abolish ICE" and talk about "reforming and retraining" the agency instead.

The Boston Globe reported that ICE awarded a 4.5 million dollar contract with a Plymouth, Massachusetts company called Bi2 Technologies, which gives ICE agents the ability to scan a person's irises.

Palantir built a tool for ICE called ELITE. It pulls data from across government agencies, including Medicaid records from the DHS, and uses it to generate maps of neighborhoods where people ICE might want to detain are concentrated.

In particular, the part around 13:30, about how ordinary people feel abandoned by local and state officials, and are left doing what they can—not much—to show solidarity with their neighbors, knowing local authorities will not protect them.
