Lottie Reizenstein (1904-1982) was born into an assimilated Jewish family in Nuremberg, Germany. She trained as an artist in Berlin until she fled to London in 1936. It is essential that the candidate is able to read German.

Here's a more unusual profession from the papers of the Polish Jewish Refugee Fund. This individual, originally from Poland and who arrived in the UK in June 1940 from Paris, records that he had previously worked as a "raincoats-sticker" (i.e. he made raincoats)
