My analysis. Polarisation does not exist in way it's to often described ('echo chambers'). But the mechanism can be exploited in propaganda, disinformation, mechanical information operations. Bonus: agreement with 'enemies of the group' is penalised socially.

"Agreement with enemiesā - for instance accepting their arguments - can be costly for people. It creates an incentive to maintain differences and disagreement. In this dynamic, even careful analysis and fact-based arguments can be perceived as a threat to the cohesion of a given social group.

20 Years of Digital Life, Gone in an Instant, thanks to Apple
Summary: A major brick-and-mortar store sold an Apple Gift Card that Apple seemingly took offence to, and locked out my entire Apple ID, effectively bricking my devices and my iCloud Account, Apple Developer ID, and everything associated with it, and I have no recourse. Can you help? Email paris AT paris.id.au (and read on for the details). ā¤ļø Hereās how Apple āPermanentlyā locked my Apple ID. I am writing this as a desperate measure.

Proud to share that my 50 students averaged 82/100 on our final exam, which was administered on Monday. Many of these students hadn't heard of cryptography prior to registering for the course. Furthermore, the exam was legitimately not easy. See for yourself:

"Analyzing the Performance of WebAssembly vs. Native Code" places a lot of the blame for the worse performance of wasm on register spills, esp. with JS engines' reserved registers. Sounds like APX could actually help by bumping the register count from 16 to 32?
