The latest CDC #measles update bumps the total US cases in 2025 up to 2,255 cases. And just 23 days into 2026, there have been 416 reported cases, with the majority (338) in South Carolina. This rate may or may not continue, but if it does, there could be over 5,000 cases this year.

The final number of US measles cases in 2025 as reported by the CDC: 2,144 It really did exceed the 2,126 cases reported in 1992... The next-most-recent milestone is 1991 with 9,643 cases. #Measles is fully back in the US. Elimination status may be revoked in the coming weeks.
