A lot has been happening recently - I'm thrilled to be a Senior Research Scientist at Bigelow (as of last month!), to be a part of this amazing science, and to lead the NSF SBS/BioOce PurSUiT project on cryptic microbial lineage systematics in marine sediment! (the 2nd award mentioned here 🥳)

So excited that this paper is out! We use a novel method to quantify rates of respiration in sediment-hosted cells, and reveal ecological impacts of oxygen and seaweed-derived carbon on flexible lineages inhabiting Coastal Maine sediment.
