There was a point early afternoon yesterday where I was like "omg I left going to the doctor too long. My throat is now unbearable. I might need to go to emergency" but waited it out to my second dosage of meds. After dinner I was like damn... Medicine is the goat lol.

Went to the doctor, got some antibiotics and some stuff to help with the pain so I can eat and drink easier. Strep results won't be back until Saturday, so Anime North is sadly out for me. Yeticon we're gonna go so hard though to make up for it, just you watch!

After a small menty b becauseits 4am, I can't sleep because my throat is so painful even with having taken 2 extra strength Advil, I hit up 811 chat to talk to a nurse and they think it's probably strep. So... Gonna try and get some sleep (unlikely) and then go to a walk-in to get tested.

I simply wish to feel better.

I can't remember the last time I lost my voice this badly. Even when I had COVID I never lost it. Now I can barely do more than whisper.

I feel so fucking rotten right now I'm starting to have am I even going to feel better by Friday to go to AN? I have until the 21st to cancel my hotel room and part of me is like... Should I just do it?

Getting sick on my birthday, right before my week off where I need to deal with con crunch and cleaning for my mom to come visit is a cruel joke from the universe.

When you enter the final few hours of work before a vacation with a few small things left to do and the exhaustion you haven't been letting yourself feel for months starts to set in. Just... 3 more hours.

When it's 930 am and you've spent the entire hour and a half you've been at the office being basically accosted about making decisions on stuff that wasn't your request or how another department wanting you to get training on a new program to make their lives easier..

Insta started showing me lofts in the city and my brain is now like "ok but what if I moved?" which is dumb because I live next to the subway in a nice area with rent control like girl stop.

The air in the venue was so dry it was making me feel ill so I had to go but the last 2 talks were actually genuinely useful and informative and didn't ignore the issues around AI and I'm glad I was able to stay for those at least.

Attended this conference hoping to find some light in the bleak age of AI while being a creative - to find a way to live with it - and instead I'm digging through the weeds to try and not feel utterly defeated and like this is the death of decades of craftsmanship in favour of individual aesthetics.

Me as multiple people are trying to make plans with me in May or June. Have shit this booked up is actually stressing me the fuck out and making me feel like shit having to turn everyone away.

My extroverted friends are so powerful. I have had 3 days in a row of plans and I'm so tired I feel like I could sleep for a week. I wish desperately that I could be like you.

As much as I had fun tonight, going to restaurants that have djs and play music so loud you can't hear the people next to you makes me so crazy. I hate that that's trendy. Its so annoying.

When the home work computer dies on a work from home day

Thinking about the next 2 months and when the fuck I'm going to actually work on my planned cosplays, simple as they are and I'm just like 🫠 I wish I could clone myself.

Begging the dip in temperature and snow we have after todays gorgeous weather is the end of the fakeouts. I need these nice days to stay to feel revived.

When you've got work you've gotta get done because it's a short week but you also feel like you could fall asleep at your desk.

I bought some steak and ale pies to have for dinner this week and I was so excited for them because its been forever since I had had one. Made one last night and it was so GROSS! Like the filling seemed fine but the pastry was so salty and unpleasant to eat, I couldn't even finish it.

Doing laundry and I keep getting the cursed elevator and every time I'm like please God don't let me get stuck in here. And it takes a really long time to open so I keep getting freaked out that it's happening.

So my building has a new problem elevator that's been loudly clunking for weeks now (since they performed maintenance on all 3 LOL), and going in and out of service, including once this week already. Apparently, someone got trapped in it for an hour early this morning. The emerg button didn't work.

I get why we have door-to-door campaigning and stuff but man do I hate it when they expect/demand you provide feedback. Especially when you've been home from work with a fever and just want to chill and not be forced to give my thoughts and opinions on the mayor.

We need to ban axe body spray. Some teenage boy just walked past me and it was so strong it almost gave me an immediate migraine.

Yesterday in #dnd, my bug girl cleric got married to her beau in an over the top noble wedding. Were there multiple assassination attempts to several guests, food poisoning and explosives that destroyed the palace nearly killing her friends / new husband? YEP! Anyways here's her wedding dress!

The elevators in my building are a mess. One is out of service, another the door won't close until it does the slow close beeping. The 3rd one is the one that was down for 80% of the last year but is currently working. Like... So glad I got that double rent increase this year.

2 days in and I gotta say... Cook Unity slaps. The pasta I had yesterday was delicious, and today I had a Chicken Katsu Curry which was yum! The portions are great and (at least so far) it doesn't give me crazy heartburn like F*ctor would. Absolutely recommend!

Giving Cook Unity a try because thinking of meals that will work for dinner and lunch the next day has been a *struggle* lately. My first order came today, so I haven't tried any of them yet, but I gotta say, from delivery and looking at the meals in their packaging, so far I'm impressed.
