You got me back, guys. Said goodbye to my son this morning after 10 days. They gave me a gate pass so I got to hang out with him for 2 hrs more. The outside gardens at GSP are always nice, especially when it's cool out. This place is luxury compared to flying out of $#@* ATL.

Things I didn't want to deal with on Sunday after spending half the night in the ER: my HVAC condenser just sitting there making a buzzing sound and not running, my house obviously not cooling. If this is a major repair my head might pop off. Wish me luck.

One great thing about having dogs is the routine they bring to my life, too. It forces me to be more efficient, to work harder and more focused around my time getting them adjusted/trained. I'm also in full swing self-employment crunch mode, and selling stuff on Ebay/Posh to pay back the UK trip.

My new babies had a great first night, and have been playing hard all day. Phoebe finally was able to get a bath since it was 10 days since her spay. She's so soft and clean now, like a little mink. I think washing the weight of her old, cruel life (she came from a cruelty case) must feel good.

Finally back home from Michigan, visiting with friends, seeing Ghost again. So few people here like them that I won't bore you with the details other than that it was another stellar, worth every penny show and I had the most amazing time. But I'm so glad to be home. I need some calm.

We were out on this beautiful lake yesterday, I can't believe how clear and blue it is! I'm a few hours we leave for Grand Rapids to see Ghost again. Michigan is really beautiful. 💜

I'm the idiot who scheduled a flight for 6:30 AM because it was the least frequent flier miles, and am now realizing I have to be at the airport at 4:30, and I live about 90 min away from said airport which means I have to leave at 3 AM. So I guess I'm waking up at 2 AM Sat. 🤣

This morning was for comfort albums. I've been generally stressed this year and not in the mood for much new music. Every Friday I see it all in my TL and it just makes me feel tired. I know I'm not alone in this sentiment, we all go through cycles and right now I'm in a dormant one, overwhelmed.

I've been sharing my healthy meal preps on FB to show all my friends starving themselves on skinny shots the proper nutrition a woman should be eating. Meanwhile they're bragging about massive weight loss and eating the same crap they always were, in tiny amounts. They also look 10-15 years older.

I'm so behind on life, the heat is killing me having to work outdoors in it on my beehives and doing yardwork. My house is a mess, I'm overwhelmed with work. I'm grieving my dog. And oh, yeah... I'm getting on a plane Sat. AM to go to Michigan to see Ghost again and visit a friend for a few days. 🤯

Latest Autumn Nostalgie has been a slow burn for me, gradually warming up to it with each listening. I just don't think anything can ever quite hit like their masterpiece, Esse est Percipi. An album I don't recommend live, but rather walking through the woods with headphones.

People always ask me if I have any fun July 4th plans. Other than sitting happily alone in my house wishing I had tacos, no. No, I don't. I can't remember the last time I did anything at all for July 4th. It was likely when I was a child. Also, it's HOT out there. Ick.

Vanity sizing is off the rails in the USA. I ordered a simple black cotton maxi dress in a size S, and it's huge on me. I need an XS. And this is not the first time this has happened. I'm not a small/very thin woman. I have historically worn a size M over the years. This is nuts.
