I do hope things like this send a message through the industry that Gen-ai use is bad for your game. As a critic who is against gen-ai it definitely gets messy. Do I throw out whole games for being caught & unknowingly praise those that just weren’t? 2026 is gonna be a hellscape for these thoughts

Well, so far I've been enjoying Metroid Prime 4 more than 2 or 3. It honestly gives me a lot of the vibes from 2, but I think the execution has a lot less friction than 2 did. And boy, did 2 have A LOT of friction.

Amazon has seemingly removed the Banana Fish AI dub, likely in response to the vocal outcry It should be noted that they can remove this AI dub, or all of their AI dubs But they can’t remove the fact that they chose to try to do it in the first place.

Let me give some insight on this, as a producer in the dub industry who worked with major streamers, who's witnessed first-hand where this push for AI is coming from. tl;dr: Only CEOs want this. Tell them how much you hate it. Be loud, email, call, @, post. You will kill this. 🧵⬇️
