Having speaking NPCs but keeping Samus a silent protagonist makes Metroid Prime 4 into a weird remake of Sooty and Sweep. "What's that Samus? ....you need to go to some ancient temples and find some stupid key things?"

I'm kind of dreading starting Stranger Things season 5. I don't know why. I had this with season 4 and enjoyed it in spite of its problems. Can people tell me if it's any good so far?

Watched Together - surprised by how good it was. The character work is almost strong enough to distract you from how gross it is.

Everyone remembers the classic British sitcom “Johnny & Janey” (starring Richard Patch as Johnny and Lisa Howard as Janey), but almost no one remembers that there was a secret unaired 6th episode from series 3 of the show, and it gets even weirder from here….. ~ A fanart by me.

Given whoever is Doctor Who showrunner after Russell t Davies is gonna get endless shit for it whatever happens, I don't want someone I respect getting that position. Give it to someone who needs their ego taken down a peg or two. Like Ryan Murphy.

My new short film Got Your Nose is now available to watch on Omeleto! Its about a man whose uncle played got your nose when he was very young, and now he's had to live his life without a nose. Its not a comedy. It is a very serious film about a very traumatic incident.👃

I'm currently watching a 70s sci-fi serial called the changes. It's about a world where suddenly all machines start emitting a strange noise that makes people go mad. Writing this on a smartphone in the social media hellscape, it feels incredibly prophetic

Finally got around to watching the Monkey - it's bloody brilliant. I thought Osgood Perkins would be a weird fit for it but his slow and awkward style really suits it. It has this peep show sigh of "life is a crushing disappointment" running underneath it all.

Angel is such a weird show. It starts out as half supernatural cop show, half episodes of Buffy that she's not in, then from season 2 it basically becomes an ongoing vampire soap opera about various love triangles

Watching the Osbournes for the first time in years. It's very far removed from what reality TV is nowadays. The editing is so much tighter. It's more like an improvised sitcom. It also helps that Ozzy was basically a puppy in man form

Got an incredibly funny and pompous comment on my review of the new Doctor Who season claiming "You lost all my credibility for the gentle massage you gave RTD for season 1" ....yeah it's attitudes like this that are why the fandom has such a bad reputation

Just realised the Doctor Falls was the last time the doctor who fandom didn't totally hate the series finale. The end of flux, empire of death, timeless children, battle of ranskoor. Doctor Falls was seven years ago. It's practically a tradition to hate the ending now

Do I side with the most loathsome man who ever lived or the most insufferable man who ever lived? It's a tough decision. Especially since those adjectives could apply to either of them.

Anyone coming to the upcoming Liminal Tales show at the Water Rats in kings x can pick up a new short story from me in the zine on sale. It's called "The Lost Finale of Johnny and Janey" it's about a bizarre final episode of an old 70s sitcom.

Doctor who - wish world - that was chaos. Few gripes but it had this cool liminal space vibe going for it. Made me think of Vivarium occasionally. Kinda wish we'd spent more time in this weird world before the Rani started the "mwhaha I did this because etc etc another big twist villain reveal"

Doctor who - interstellar song contest - started out reminding me of Voyage of the Damned, a big stupid space pantomime, then when kid's plot gets revealed I immediately thought of the end of Kerblam...yeah I feel really weird about this trend in the show in doing corporation plots

Doctor who - lucky day - quite a clever inverse conspiracy theory where the theorists think the aliens don't exist. Didn't quite buy Conrad though, he was a bit cartoonish and I wanted more about ruby's PTSD than just the odd conversation

Why does the Doctor Who fandom always resemble the 'this is fine' gif? You have no control over whether a third season happens. Calm down and watch your show.
