Finally finished Cairn last night and it's going to be an incredibly tough one to beat for game of the year!

yesterday i beat two very short, horror adjacent, psx styled games by french developers (though one is french canadian) i would wholeheartedly recommend carimara: beneath the forlorn limbs i did not enjoy the hungry fly very much, but it certainly has its fans

My Slay the Spire 2 (hot?) take is that it is very unexciting game in that it is exactly what you'd expect from a sequel to Slay the Spire while being fantastic by virtue of being a sequel to Slay the Spire Love the game but I can't say I'm getting the same buzz I felt while learning the first game

I'm on the final boss of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and it's clear this thing was created with utter contempt for the player AOE spells covering every element, awful status moves, regular party wide instant kills, constant buff removal, absurd amounts of HP and multiple phases. Why?
