Today in 1945, Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated, exposing the horrors of the Holocaust. 6 million Jews were murdered, along with thousands of Roma and Sinti, LGBTQI+, and others. As antisemitism rises in Canada and around the world, it is important we remember and stand with the Jewish community.

It was heartbreaking to hear about the passing of Kirsty Duncan. She leaves behind a legacy as a defender of inclusion in sports and as a role model for women, especially those in her riding of Etobicoke North. My thoughts are with Kirsty and her family during this difficult time.

I was thrilled to join Golden Age Village for the Elderly for lunch at Pho Ngoc Yen to learn more about their multi-use Tuổi Hạc Village Campus of Care. Construction is underway for 160 long-term care beds, with plans to build 140 units of affordable housing supported by SEED funding through CMHC.
