City got what they deserved from yesterday’s match. Sub-par in so many departments. But there’s no getting away from this being one of the worst referee/ VAR decisions of the season. It’s the biggest game in English football for god’s sake.

Positive signs for City in the market, more so for next season than this. These players - of course - will have a part to play in the remainder of this season, but the extra time they’ll get to settle without too much pressure could be invaluable for 25/26.

Not overly enthused about the news City going for Martín Zubimendi is most likely to happen in the summer and not January, especially if it's the player's decision. That extra six months with Pep could be crucial for Zubimendi's development.
