This is a moment of inflection. Mainers won’t abide a cruel and reckless president, and they are calling for leaders who will stand up for our democracy, our neighbors, and our future. That’s why I’m all in on this race. No one is coming to save us. It is up to all of us.

As governor, my plan is to end veteran homelessness in my first year in office and do more to help Mainers find housing they can afford. While Trump's reckless actions will make our work harder, it makes electing a governor who prioritizes housing and veterans even more urgent.

Six forums in two weeks, and we’ve covered a lot, from tribal sovereignty to rural health care to the juvenile justice system to the future of Maine’s tourism industry. It’s a full schedule, but it’s also incredibly encouraging to see people show up and really engage in the future of our state.

The 14th Amendment is clear, and Trump's attempts to undermine birthright citizenship are as dangerous as they are out of touch. As governor, I will always stand up for that promise and ensure Maine remains a welcoming place for all.

We need the federal government to create a universal health care system, but until they do, Maine must act. That’s why I’ve proposed a public insurance option to give individuals and small businesses another choice. It will compete with greedy health insurance companies and reduce costs.

An incredible turnout at the Sagadahoc Democrats and Indivisible Forum with nearly 700 people showing up on a Saturday afternoon to focus on electing a Democratic governor in 2026. Governors are on the front lines of protecting our democracy and delivering for Maine people. I am ready to lead.

I was inspired to join Maine nurses for a vigil this evening in Portland to honor the life of Alex Pretti. Our state has been through a lot the past couple of weeks but Mainers keep showing up for each other. Nurses do the heavy lifting caring for us, and they always show up for their communities.

This is both outrageous and heartbreaking. Senator Susan Collins has the power to stop funding this terror. Keep calling and standing up! We need ICE OUT of Maine. NOW!
