The Stumpstool (Asperus Elasticis) Are a mouth-having variant of the Sporivid family, and are the only known carnivorous member. Interestingly, they don’t appear to have any parasitic capabilities, rather, they use similar frequencies to a captain whistle to command Pikmin instead. #pikmin

Dune Bubbles (Gerridus harenaepes) Is an airborn member of the Spitterspatter family that lives in hotter, harsher climates. Not unlike it’s watery cousin, the skeeterskate, the Dune Bubble filter feeds from the sandy air, and expels out of the same orifice. #pikmin @applemcchees.bsky.social

The Spurious Blili (Molluschid Phonae) Is an offshoot of the Bloyster family that has forgoed typical Mollusking evolution, and has developed a bulbous, buoy body and a large lilipad-like mouth. Generally it doesn’t move, just waiting for prey to step near enough to its mouth to eat. #pikmin

Fluffmin look for corpses to infect, causing them to grow fluffy, mouldy bodies that act like parasitic pilots for the reanimated body. These bodies patrol to the nearest fluff stool, and patrol around it as a sort of self defence. If none are present, they patrol the fluffmin. #pikmin

Sphaerocoris annulus, the Picasso bug. A conspicuous true-bug that displays a lot of variation in its pattern between each individual. Their paint-like coloration is often messy and undefined, but I think that adds to their charm. A beautiful and unforgettable species. #digitalart #bug #picassobug
