My last 3 manuscript submissions at one prominent journal: 1. not reviewed for nearly a year. after multiple emails, they asked for suggested reviewers. got 5 in depth reviewers. after revisions, only 1 seemingly reviewed again and after 6 months, editors decisioned reject from that 1 review
