New book!

I often begin my work with my own personal stories of medical racism and I’m always surprised at how many people are shocked that I experience it even after becoming a Black health researcher. Medical racism knows no class or professional bounds. It can harm any person of color.

My biggest new year resolution is to do 1 thing at a time. I often do things like eat, scroll on my phone, and watch tv at the same time all while not giving adequate attention to either. Multi-tasking is a great skill but it’s not always necessary or joyful. I’m trying!
