If the rumors are true, MIB might be getting some nice upgrades—including an updated scoring system. Thankfully, I got to ride it a bunch recently before the changes. Didn’t get to max out this year, but I didn’t do too bad my final time. I’m glad it’s getting attention!

Universal is so good at using coaster track to frame or complement landmarks. Just look at how VelociCoaster wraps around the Discovery Center without blocking Hogwarts. If you're going to have a big thrill coaster, may as well make it pretty.

On this day in 2001, The Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood opened. This Arrow Dynamics looping coaster debuted as Steel Phantom in 1991, later redesigned without inversions by D. H. Morgan Manufacturing. Despite a 160-foot lift, the coaster has a 228-foot second drop, reaching 85 mph.

A couple of weeks ago, I came across this for the first time. I thought that if it were in a city, it would be a landmark. And here it is, just another part of the scenery in a theme park. 🧡

I love the potential for this, but this is (was) my favorite spot for an affordable meal. The portions are big enough to split, and the classic JP/IOA vibes are on point. There's also a self-serve water station. 🫡 It was a good run.

Universal Orlando has confirmed that the Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure will permanently close venues and experiences in phases to make way for a new themed area. This will include the closure of Mythos Restaurant in 2027. #UniversalOrlando

Rest in peace to Sid Krofft, who has died at 96. Sid was the creative visionary behind puppet shows, children's programming, and theme park attractions—produced with his late brother, Marty. The duo contributed to early Six Flags parks and opened a short-lived indoor park. 🧵

I'm always amazed how great the top of the lighthouse looks in closeups. It's over 100 feet above guests but is still gorgeous.

This clip of me tripping while trying to walk and film at the same time is a great advertisement for the stabilization feature on my camera. The camera is smooth, but my walking isn't. 🫣
