Happy 25th anniversary to the one and only Disney California Adventure! The park officially opened to guests on this day in 2001. It's such an odd yet interestingly lovable place. What I wouldn't do to see this weird park in person during its early years.

If I could say only one thing about Dinosaur's closure, it would be this: Celebrate Dinosaur. That's great! Reminisce over it, but also embrace whatever's next. We can't change what's in motion. Enjoy what's in front of you; the alternative (complaining) is a lot less fun.

Long earnest Dinosaur post. The tl;dr is, it's sad, but it'll be ok. The long is, Dinosaur closing is tough for me. Animal Kingdom opened at the perfect time in my childhood. Being so new and exciting, it was probably the first theme park I truly fell in love with. 🧵

Genuinely, thank you to everyone who took the time to post from Dinosaur’s closing today. I don’t think a ride closure has hit me this hard before. It’s tough to accept, but it was great to see so much appreciation today. 💛 I just wish I could’ve joined!

During my final rides on Dinosaur, I realized the first dino scene may have a small side story. The Alioramus is mid-meal, but the Hadrosaur stands defensively toward it. Why so defensive? Babies in a nest. Oh no. And little do they know a nearby Velociraptor is eying the nest.

Why is everyone saying Dinosaur is closing? That ride isn't going anywhere! It'll be a cold day in Orlando when Dinosaur closes!!! Oh...
