Disney's new video about parade smells reveals this float "scent machine". I can see they have actually taped two old ScentAir cartridges together and attached them to a blower fan! I suspect they top the old cartridges up manually with scent oil. Makeshift! 🔧

Universal Studios Japan is fabulous, but I think music lets it down. Modern pop songs in 1970s Amity, pop songs down the entrance avenue, pop songs in Minion Land... A park having its own music gives it a feeling of quality. The shift in Harry Potter Land, with its own music, was noticeable.

I was recently contacted by the Mary Todd Lincoln House in Kentucky, as they were hoping to create new smell stations. The final smell stations include scent oils and organic materials. The top of each unit can be removed for replenishing the scents. Brilliant work by the museum team!

After washing empty scent oil bottles, I rinsed them and poured the water in the toilet. Now the toilet is fragrant. I have eau de toilette.

It wasn't until I finished editing this that I realised it's probably incorrect to call her 'Antoinette' like it's a surname. More importantly, what did she smell like? 🍰 @aromaprime.bsky.social supported AVM Curiosities in the development of a smell for the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Yesterday, I was excited to find smell stations in Harrods! A staff member told me that they had been inspired by smell stations in a Bordeaux wine museum. Visual representations of the smells featured are seen within bell jars. The smells actually come from within the table structures. 💨

This is my big drawer of themed smell history! It is full of documents and artefacts, some going back decades. I often refer to these when working on my smell handbook. Do you recognise anything here? 🔍
