Took a nature walk with the Friends of The Detroit River along the Frank and Poet Drain. They talked about the linked greenways, the plants and animals seen along the way. Nice night for a walk.

I had another Detroit Zoo excursion, this time after hours in the evening. We were lucky once again, in that most of the animals were active.

Yesterday's backyard visitor. We've had three freshly minted cicadas in our yard over the past few days careening off of trees, bushes and the driveway. Yesterday morning a sparrow got one. This one was upside down on the driveway, but let me pick it up and stayed for a bit.
