Fifty years ago today I answered an announcement over the student union tannoy and got myself a job of humping Black Sabbath’s gear in Bradford. Was paid £8.75 for the privilege which is about £70 in today’s money. Watched the gig from various parts of the hall and did a bit of stewarding.
