Celebrating Dr Sergiu Dumitrescu’s successful PhD defense at MedUni Vienna! His work shows that certain reactive oxygen species from NOX4 are essential for the proliferation of human amniotic stem cells. Sergiu will continue as a Postdoc in the Sepsis-Trauma-Shock Group of our Marcin Osuchowski.

#WienerTöchtertag enables girls to experience one day as a scientist. We welcomed 12 girls aged 10-15 to our lab, who got to pipette an assay, harvest bone cells and do a CT scan - all before lunch! The day was concluded by an institute tour & learning how to prepare fibrin glue.

LBI Trauma was invited to Wirtschaftskammer #WKÖ! We had the honor of presenting an Experience Island at their event “Starke Forschung, Starker Standort” and were met with much curiosity, willingness to try new things and, above all, a shared fascination for science and technology.
