Altar of the Patriarchs. Dates from 1460. Made for Liel Abbey church. Moved to the Church of St Nikolai, Kiel, Germany in 1541 when the abbey was dissolved in the Reformation.

Church of St Nikolai, Kiel, Germany. Origins from C13th, remodelled in Gothic Revival style in C19th, completely rebuilt after WW2 due to being badly damaged. Baroque pulpit dates 1705 & donated to replace an earlier 1522 pulpit.

Visby, Saint Mary’s Cathedral. Sweden. Renovated by Axel Haig late C19th. Favoured Gothic Revival style. Fabulous gargoyles. 3 original. 4th depicting Samson’s fight with lion is a copy of original, 5th installed by Haig. Wonderful church.
