"Looking through a window" takes on a whole new meaning when you work for York Glaziers Trust. A panel of the Rose Window was removed by YGT to allow them to examine how the restoration following the fire of 1984 is holding up to the tests of time.

Ash Wednesday draws to a conclusion with a Solemn Eucharist, presided over by the Rt Revd Dr Flora Winfield. The building was illuminated by the setting sun as the walls reflected the last rays of light & stunning sound of Allegri's 'Miserere mei, Deus', performed by the Choir of York Minster.

⚒️ BBC Repair Shop on the Road ⚒️ Repair Shop on the Road, featuring our wonderful stonemasons at work on the repairs to the south quire aisle, will be broadcast this Friday at 4.30pm on BBC One. Dom and Will met Freya, one of our apprentice masons, as she worked on a pinnacle.
