I think you're drastically over-estimating what Ferrari is right now. They've won 2 of 9 and were beaten in Britain dead to rights. Mercedes has had awful reliability in these regulations and are still up by 78. That for me is a way bigger concern than their driver line-up.

Ferrari boxed their cars with the clear logic there'd be a restart, and the marshals took a rather long time to clear Max's car. That happens. It sucks and it's messy, but we wouldn't be looking at the bad faith of the FIA if it wasn't for 2021. (Which this procedure now is, BECAUSE of it.)

And one more note: FIA has now since said it was a software error that displayed the "Safety Car in this lap" message, hence the quick change and mistake. One of those unfortunate things. #F1

I can see why Race Control rescinded the message. They legally couldn't restart the race. A race can't be restarted on the same lap that lapped cars untapped themselves.

From what I've seen, now I've seen all the evidence, yeah, unfortunate one by Race Control. An 8-second window there between getting it bang on, and... that. Messy. #F1

How? Lewis clearly jumped the start, was second best in open air all day and might have a yellow flag infringement to deal with post-race? Man was average today, it happens.
