This weekend's 4x5 work. If you see the development issue on the viewfinder picture, you cannot imagine my insane disappointment when I saw it. Was trying a new development reel, and it burned me.

Got my Leica back from DAG just in time to....take pictures of the remains of Southtown projects. I have doomed this elegant tool to a life of taking photos like this. Goddamn I love it though. M4P, Kentmere 400. I couldn't even push the Kentmere to 800, it was too damn bright.

I saw this from a distance on Saturday, and I immediately looked for a road. I thought I'd get a nice quiet shot of a water tower under construction. Instead, I bumbled into an active work site and had to look like I was lost, while holding a camera out the window of my car.

Bessemer Airport had a B-25 bomber there this week and I showed up with my 4x5. Some mistakes were made but I had a pretty limited amount of time to get a photo with no people in it. Very happy with the first one but I chopped the tail off the other ones (and it's a little soft).

When you get a Minolta Maxxum 7000 for like 20 bucks at an estate sale, you throw in some Kentmere 400 (pushed to 800) and let it eat. Maxxums kinda rule. If you need a cheap autofocusing camera from the 80s you can definitely do worse.

Nikon D700 update: I've listed it twice on ebay, then shot with it and then deleted the listing. Damn it. I guess I 'm keeping it. I also have a replacement 5D Classic on its way. the 2006 DSLR era continues. Guess I'll blast some Wilco and Hold Steady and make that mirror SLAP.

I'm starting a new religion about how Kentmere 200 is the one true Kentmere. Bronica ETRS and East uhh South-ish Birmingham? I don't know what to call this area. The area where the sun is out late in the day and the churches have limos.

The most hilarious side note about the Allbirds stuff is I got a pair for 20 bucks at the discount outdoor store that just opened here, and they are great. I wear them all the time.
