I absolutely adore my actors and the amount of life they breathed into my AD. They didnt have to, I cant afford to pay them, but they all brought their a-game and I cant thank them enough 🥹❤️

Weekly #Audiodrama Update: Im editing down some amazing performances to a 5 minute monologue and I feel like Frankenstein (the Doctor) making Frankenstein (the monologue).

Weekly #Audiodrama Progress: Spend an hour creating a soundspace. Love it. Return the next day. Completely redo it in ten minutes because its just not right in that one specific way but now you finally know what you want. ... This is gonna happen a lot, huh.

Due to chronic illness, I am gonna pretend I never set myself a timer. I still intend to finish this and I hope to release this year. Just the "when" remains ambiguous. See you then!

The endless debate between "Do I listen to something new and exciting" or "Do I listen to the same #audiodrama that I listen to every year" How is one to decide?

[1/2] Today, we lost two hours of recording time due to a technological error. But dont worry. All the important communication wasnt entirely lost, due to the miracle saving medium called brain we both possess. Re-recording should flow fairly quickly.

Writing Audio Drama is an endless effort to polish and pressure a piece of coal into a diamond. Its only weeks and months later that you realise everything was sparkly already except for that one thing you thought was fine. (In loving memory of my BA "Hilde", you need a spectro.)

Things I didnt expect to learn this year: Using Reaper for what its actually about (= music). Can you believe that? No no. Its for Audio Drama. Audio Drama only.

Anyone can make a great fiction podcast. All you need is a Blue Yeti, some friends who are willing to speak nonsense into the record, some free editing software, a willingness to enter into a Faustian bargain with the dark presence in the lands beyond the shadows, and the gumption to make min 6 eps.

The pain of being done with the script, leaving it for weeks because nobody has time to record anything and then opening it up only to find hundreds of things to polish. I love writing. I promise, the polish is making it better :')

Me, as Im editing: Who thought doing this in all-monologues was a good idea? Who wrote that section like that? Where are the instructions for this part? Why is there not a good transition? I mean, seriously. My script, my Laptop, my desk lamp, the entire room: 👁️👁️

Sometimes, you look at your Voice Actors and you look at the characters they are playing and you look at your Voice Actors again and some things just make sense. (I say this with love. Believe me. I have never used unreliable narrators in my life, after all).

I know I have showed this to everyone, but since I am in the middle of recording everything up until the Mid Season Finale, why not show it to more people? (I spent too much time on this, forgive my hubris). Anyways: Releasing in April 2025. Im now convinced I'll manage that :P
