On Wednesday, the European Space Agency released the first clear images of the sun’s south pole, which were captured in late March by its Solar Orbiter spacecraft.

Astronomers have used the ultraviolet capabilities of the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope to study the surfaces of four icy moons of Uranus: Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, and Oberon! They were in for a surprising finding 👉 esahubble.org/images/opo25... 🔭 🧪

At the south pole, #SolarOrbiter discovered that the Sun’s magnetic field is currently a mess. This image from the PHI instrument shows that there are currently different magnetic polarities (north and south) present at the south pole. This happens when the Sun’s magnetic field flips. 🔭 🧪 ☄️ ☀️ 5/
