i've been trying a new brush and i like it but it's such a "rendering" brush for me that i was struggling to create a lot of the rough shapes that i usually like to use to construct things, so i went back to what i've been using for the past few years just to get some drawings done.

i got some work done on stream, and by work i mean "didn't make a new PNGtuber at all, just drew my ocs and warmups"

greater context aside, IMO you should be able to deconstruct and explain the technical theory behind your artwork in more than just vibes-based terminology. it might sound haughty, but it's important to eliminate the infantilisation of you or your peers' efforts in honing your skills.

Happy New Year :) I spent the first 1/3rd of 2025 making a portfolio that got rejected (rightfully so) and then the proceeding 2/3rds going to school to get better at art, so when I apply again in 2027 I can get rejected again (wrongfully so). Here's to more chapters of Uncontrollable Urge.

opening story here is one that i fear having all the time, and makes me afraid of how my friends will express their hatred of me for having A Thought About Boobs. and overall it's a hard lesson i've had to learn about others - you aren't entitled to everyone else's thoughts! great read.

2025 wasn't a bad year - went to Japan, did a lot of art studies, made some positive lifestyle changes - but I feel like it was too mild, I didn't challenge myself enough. In 2026 I want to push myself to try new things with my art and put myself out there more. Goodbye 2025 - see you all in 2026!
