Sometimes it’s best to just to let the wave wash over you. Ken Carson’s “yaaaaa” melody is just so intoxicating, by the end of the song you’ll be saying it just to feel the same catharsis. It helps that the production is all encompassing too

I promise I talk about things other than production but Summer Drop is one of my favourite beats this year. I love the kicks, they're just smidge distorted to hit harder but doesn't get muddy. I love that call and response sample in the middle of the beat too. Probably J.Cole's best ever beat.

I was one of the few people who tuned into SahBabii’s Saaheem. That shit has some amazing production on it. Sylvan Rd Ridin Down Dil is such a vibe while the 808s punch and bounce at the same time. Really subtle strings too. One of the best beats of the year
