Another highly enjoyable concert yesterday evening, this time playing at Wendelinus-Basilika, St.Wendel on the beautiful Klais organ - a programme of works by Wesley, Bach, Vierne, Lindberg, Langlais and two further works by Paul Spicer.

Greatly enjoyed playing the wonderfully colourful instrument in St Johann Basilica, Saarbrücken, Germany this morning. An all-English composers programme including works by Paul Spicer, Henry Smart, Edwin Lemare, William Harris and Percy Whitlock. Thanks to everyone who came to the concert!

Last Saturday I played the organ concert marking the completion of the refurbishment of the organ of St Bart's Penn. Daly Organs have done a fabulous job turning a clunky action into something which feels musical under the hands and feet. The large audience of over 200 made for a lovely atmosphere.

Tomorrow, Sunday 7 September 2025, exactly 22 years since the first SundayAfternoonOrganMusic at Holy Trinity Wordsley, I shall play my final and 241st programme in the series there at 3:00pm. A programme packed with different styles to show off the organ one last time. Hope to see you there!

1/4 It was on a Friday evening during the summer of 1989 that I first encountered the organ in St Bart's Church Penn when I played for choir practice there. I’ve been associated with the church there in one way or another ever since, and from 2016 have shared the organist duties with Gary Cole.
