SMOFcon 42's venue, Dieselverstan, has both a café (limited hours) and a pub/bistro (extended hours) on site, right by the entrance. We'll also be a rare European con with a a con suite (snacks and drinks only)!

We're excited to share a taste of Sweden with you at SMOFcon 42 - literally! Our plans include * fika (regular coffee/hot drink breaks with a sweet snack) * a glögg mingle (a social with a warm, spiced drink typically drunk around Christmas)

Intending to buy alcohol by the can or bottle while in Sweden? Any drink with more than 3.5% alcohol by volume can only be bought in Systembolaget, although grocery stores will sell lower-percentage drinks. There's a Systembolaget in Sickla near the Willys.

In the market for science fiction books while in Stockholm? * Science Fiction bokhandln in Gamla stan (Old Town) is an excellent, dedicated bookstore, with lots of additional related products as well (games, toys, gifts). Strongest for both English and Swedish books.

While at SMOFcon 42, you may be interested in checking out local grocery stores, whether because you have a specialist diet, are catering for a party, or because you enjoy grocery store tourism.
