For everything else wrong with the internet, being able to watch strangers fix things and work through steps that aren't in a repair manual is still pretty great.

Years ago, I drove Eric Lindros's Chevy Tahoe to drop it off at his house after a service appointment. I don't follow hockey in the slightest, but he was pleasant in the 10 seconds it took to hand off the keys.

I know why there's so much use of the termini stations, but is that normal compared to other lines/systems?

It's filthy, hasn't been run in 10 years, and there's a growing list of things that'd probably have to be done before getting it on the road, but the engine isn't seized, so I'll take the little victories.

Underwhelming as the new Micra is, borrowing the styling from a bulgy hot hatch concept, and being based on a Renault with a bulgy hot hatch variant on the way, well, they've already done most of the work, so just follow through?

Late to this, but I both love that whoever chose the vehicles for the CMHC renders tailored their choices to the region (trucks for the prairies, cheaper stuff out east), and also got a Nissan Skyline and Renault LeCar in a government release.

I'm not sure what the point of "we have Morgan at home" is if you're spending nearly the same money. Say what you will about the Slingshot, Polaris gets it.

Chrysler's vans were pretty much inescapable for years (in one of their best years, 1 in 20 new cars sold in Canada was a Chrysler van (they've gone from over 80k a year to 10k a year). They were absolutely everywhere (I stumbled on an old Streetview in my neighbourhood with 5 in a 100m strip).

I don't know if this makes me more or less of a Luddite, but smartphone as screen is worse than built-in screens. My phone is 4 years old and barely functional, and I kind of resent that I have to replace it. Why would I want to be even more dependent on it?

It's 1.2km to the kid's school, I always feel bad driving and walking ends up taking forever at 5yo speed. No problems getting his bike there, failed to account for 5yo emotional volatility and that he didn't want to ride like he normally does.
