Colossal confirmed to me that they had some journalists sign NDAs. The result is some compelling reporting—but without significant pushback from outside scientists. It's one thing for a journalist to ask 'well, are these really dire wolves?' and for an expert to assert 'THESE ARE NOT DIRE WOLVES'
