God is most concerned with us being shaped by His word more than the world and the things of it. So His will for our lives is always formation to holiness and Christlikeness than fortune or whatever our personal ideas of success are.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, not the mirror. Your spiritual gifts are not your identity. Your identity is: • child of God • loved, • chosen, • adopted, • beloved • redeemed, • sealed in Christ. Your gifts are how you humbly serve others from that unearned identity.

The devil is a better theologian than most Christians. He knows the Word. But he hates its Author. Don’t just read the Bible for knowledge, submit to it. Hebrews 4:12: "For the word of God is living and active… discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

As American citizens, we've been told that our leaders are sworn to protect us from threats foreign & domestic. But what happens when the threat is from inside The House? What if the most powerful person in the country acts in ways that undermine our values, laws, and safety? Silence is complicity.

The barrage is unceasing and it's easy to get overwhelmed and confused. The administration wants us to feel powerless. It's helpful to see the common themes: cruelty, greed, theft, deception, etc. I'm not a policy expert, but as a Christian I know where I stand in response to this wickedness.

We don’t need to become consumed by the divisive politics of the world, but we must always stand for truth, the truth of the gospel, the truth of justice, and the truth of love. 🧵/

Lk. 4:18 shows Jesus’ heart for the oppressed, and in Mt. 23, Jesus rebukes religious leaders for neglecting justice, loving power & status. We must reject any political stance that marginalizes/harms others and instead promote policies that reflect God’s justice, mercy & care for the marginalized.

Romans 13:1-7 teaches that we are to submit to governing authorities, but this submission is always secondary to our allegiance to God’s law. When political movements or figures promote hate, division, or harm to others, we must speak out against them in the name of God’s justice and righteousness.

None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

Stop shrinking to make others comfortable. This doesn't mean be obnoxious. One can still be kind, humble, strong and confident without shrinking. The right people will not be intimidated, they will be inspired. The wrong people will fall away. LET THEM.

To the high performers, I see you. My hope & prayer is that you are blessed with people who see beyond your strengths and see your needs. People who rely on you often assume you don’t need encouragement/support because you seem so capable. They see the fruit of your gifts but not the cost of them.

Sometimes, in healing, we can feel like we're back at the beginning. But it's the weariness that clouds our perspectives. The truth is you're not the same as before. The lessons, the faith, the endurance, it’s all still there. You’re just tired, and tired minds lie. #healedandhealing

So, what now? If you can’t run, don’t. If you can’t fight, rest. If you can’t see the next step, be still. Don't push harder. Surrender deeper. And not the kind of surrender that feels like giving up, but the kind that lets Jesus hold you instead of you trying to hold everything together. #Rest
