For what it's worth, Arturs Silovs and Stuart Skinner have been getting the bulk of the work today. Sergei Murashov worked out with a coach on the auxiliary rink a good bit.

Stuart Skinner looks like he's ready to return from an eye injury. Sergei Murashov simply looks like he's ready to return to the NHL. "The season is not over. And the most exciting part is ahead."

Sergei Murashov said he arrived in Pittsburgh at roughly 3:20 p.m. on Sunday (The game started at 3:08 p.m.). He was happy for Taylor Gauthier getting his moment on Sunday. Added he picked Stuart Skinner's brain during the game while watching in the press box.

Stuart Skinner said he feels good. His vision has improved. Went to bed on Saturday feeling okay but when he woke up on Sunday, his left eye had closed (swelled) up. Said he wasn't aware if he's been cleared to play on Thursday.

To be clear, the Penguins are off today, so updates on any kind of injuries, such as Stuart Skinner's, are not likely to be issued today. They have two days before their next game, so there isn't any kind of immediate need to make any recalls or other transactions.

Per the NHL's media website: -Taylor Gauthier is no longer listed on the Penguins' NHL roster. -Avery Hayes is now listed. He was not listed yesterday, even after his recall was announced. -Sergei Murashov is not listed.

To me, Syl Apps always felt like the Kuniper belt of Penguins' all-time scorers. If you passed him, you were in a very deep part of space.

Muse explained this was more to do with all the special teams minutes in the game and was not reflective of any dissatisfaction with Brazeau's play (or any kind of health-related issue). In fact, Muse put blame on himself for not getting Brazeau more ice time.

Taylor Gauthier said he was in church for Easter this morning and had his phone notifications turned off. Later, he saw he had several messages from assistant general manager Jason Spezza and realized he had to hurry from Wheeling to Pittsburgh.

With less than nine minutes left in regulation, Penguins forward Justin Brazeau has recorded only six shifts this game.

Two goals for Rickard Rakell today. He has 24 points (14 goals, 10 assists) in his past 20 games. And he's been playing center, not his typical position, for much of that.

The Penguins formally placed defenseman Caleb Jones on injured reserve per the NHL's media website. The team announced he was done for the season on Friday following shoulder surgery.

Dan Muse said there was "hope" Blake Lizotte could rejoin the lineup before the end of the regular season but was short on specifics. Largely said Lizotte continues to progress in his recovery from injury.
