My PCP sent me to a new electrophysiologist who i finally got to see today. This is ultimately in response to the disabling event I've been dealing with since last November, but the referral to this particular Dr came from the cardiac emergency in August. He. Is. Wonderful.

Between what I have been dealing with health-wise and my partner's upcoming surgery and everything we have to do to get ready for that (and hosting his family next weekend), I am not sure we are doing holiday cards this year 😩 we are normally at least halfway finished making them by now!

I got some degree of upset at a bicyclist yesterday who was not following pedestrian OR traffic laws, traveling the wrong way on the road, then on the sidewalk, turned without signaling, went to cut across an intersection against the signal, and then got angry with me mid-turn when I had to swerve.

I made the absolute BEST granola last weekend (apples that I dehydrated, oats, chopped pecans, sesame kernels, cinnamon honey) and it's made for a delicious breakfast every day. I need to dehydrate some more apples today so I can make another batch this weekend 🤤

It's not from my hospital visit, it's from the dr office's lab, which doesn't show up on the portal. It's a lesson I apparently need to learn every fucking time I have labwork done there, but it's also WAY cheaper to get it done there than at the lab attached to the cardiologist's office.

Someone tell me why I got a bill (I haven't brought myself to open) from the hospital system when my portal says I don't owe this one anything? I'm on a payment plan with them for the gazillion I am paying off. I didn't see a hospitalist or any out of network doctors there.

I went to thr eye doctor today because general eye health but also I'm aging and my near vision has deteriorated dramatically this year but also...my far vision improved? My (very weak) rx has actually changed. This isn't them upselling me, I'm just getting new lenses put in existing frames +

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AMENDMENT The checker overcharged me by nearly $34. I had questioned him in the store, thinking that some of the previous person's groceries got mixed into mine, and he rattled off my groceries on my receipt before continuing. Yes, all mine. +

My ALDI grocery shop today was over $100. I normally get out of there sub-$65. It was an extremely normal shopping trip, with less produce than in the winter since I've still got access to the farm stand--mostly beans, some yogurt, butter, canned tomatoes, sugar, partner's iced tea, & a snack each.

Measles in one of the nearby districts. I hope this doesn't spread too far. There was a measles outbreak a few years ago because of the Amish, and that was contained, but people have a more vehement stance on vaccines now, so I'm warier.

When I take a day off, I rarely sleep in anymore. Up at 6am 😭 I suppose it's my brain's way of maximizing my "me" time? I wanted to sleep in a bit! Occasionally I can cat nap a bit before 9am.

Even though I got the old school Moderna vax this year (thanks, insurance! 🙄 but also for real, I appreciate that it was covered at all), this was the most mild round of side effects so far. I was able to work half a day, had minimal aches, but I did fall asleep for a few hours this afternoon 🙂
