I think the boomer shooter game genre is having a kind of revival. There are some awesome modern ones like Dusk and Ultrakill that feel like a breath of fresh air compared to the sameness of all the RPG's and open world games.

I think CachyOS might be over-hyped. In my experience you can get 95% of the same experience on any other Arch distro. I also don't know if I trust all its "optimizations" and custom packages - would rather just be using the default Arch repos and settings.
