I just had a meltdown with Cubase’s loop libraries. Seriously, how bad can you be at not caring about making a decent loop? I was stuck on a track, started browsing through loops nothing. Not a single one was usable. All garbage. Not even enough to spark the tiniest idea. 😑

Mix and master for $49 pretty much beginner pricing. Now AI can master tracks and make them sound like everyone else’s, but Carpenter Brut made it by pushing a raw, distorted -3 LUFS sound that stood out because it was different.

1/2 And here’s the kicker with nepotism, big companies hire someone just because of connections. Then they quickly realize, “wait, this guy’s actually not good.” So what do they do? They call me in to fix it as a ghost producer, throwing me scraps for a tiny fee. Oh yeah it happened! ⬇️

Everyone in the music business thinks they’re the special, like with a bit of luck they’ll end up in some huge game, GTA, or in my case Cyberpunk 2077. But the truth is, it’s less about talent and more about bribes or that fancy word “connections,” basically nepotism.

SCAM ALERT!!! Producers, artists, and anyone hiring on Fiverr, watch out! A lot of so called “producers” and “musicians” are actually using AI tools like Suno to crank out your commissioned tracks and pass them off as their own work. Don’t get fooled always check the track you receive.

In a time where musicians are getting screwed from every corner, we need to fight back. Drop in the comments any platforms that are good alternatives to Bandcamp, places where we can actually sell our music, not just stream it. Asking for myself too. Thanks!

Bandcamp payouts now require Stripe, and that’s a big problem. Bandcamp is removing PayPal for artist payouts and going Stripe-only. That means if Stripe doesn’t work in your country, you won’t be able to get paid… unless you own a U.S. based company (like an LLC).

Every time I think Instagram music can’t get worse, they push something even more imbecile, like that song Dame un grr.

Here’s one of the best music marketing tips I can give you: Make two 12track albums. Then start releasing one track every two weeks, for a whole year. While you’re doing that, work on collabs and create another one or two albums so you can keep the momentum going after the first two are out. ⬇️

I’m not the biggest fan of Black Sabbath or Ozzy, so I’m not here to make a cheesy post. But there are a few tracks I truly love, like War Pigs. WeTransfer tried to sneak in AI usage in their terms. People freaked out, they backtracked and removed it. They say they don’t train AI on your files, but still… stay alert folks. Encrypt important stuff. Im not gonna use WT anymore tbh. And I used their services a lot 🥴

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it feels like either I’m losing my mind or some well known synthwave artists have started using AI generated tracks. Some of the vocals sound 99% AI to me. I won’t name names since I’m not 100% sure but if anyone is sure, hit me up on my Insta and let me know!

Every time a platform was good for music promo FB, YT, Insta, SC it got wrecked. Why? To boost a select few and block the rest. It’s not about discovery anymore, it’s about forcing the mainstream down your throat and killing off variety. Gotta train the masses to like generic, dumbed down tunes.

I love Rick Beato, but himsaying autotune destroyed music feels a bit extreme. A more accurate take would be that extreme autotune is just overused in modern music. But the tool itself? Cmon. That’s like saying valves ruined the trumpet and we should all go back to playing natural trumpets.
