Today is Jack Kirby's birthday and I can't think of an artist whose work has meant more to me. He was purely humanistic and a defender of the little guy. He would've HATED the America a lot of us live in. My son is named after one of his New Gods so a day doesn't go by that I don't think about him.

Just finished reading this and have a review coming soon on We the Hallowed. Long story short: really, really dug this book and love its origin story.

I've never been a fan of fireworks. Being from northern Minnesota the only fireworks we ever had growing up were bought in North Dakota and brought over the border illegally so the only people that had them were the types that didn't give a shit about the law.

I feel like my brain is broken. All this anger I've been feeling and all that comes out of me is bad poetry. Not stories or art or anything else. Poetry. Seriously, brain. Gimme the good stuff again.

I look to this piece by Seth Tobocman and keep it to my heart when I need it
