One of the things about the Paint Series that I've been doing is focusing less on texture, and letting the texture of the simulated brushstrokes provide enough. However, with this one, it feels almost closer to my normal series with all of the textural elements. Luminous and squishy. #paintseries

Can you tell I like flowers? The paint series wasn't meant to be as figural as my other work, but more decorative, but sometimes the way it works out gives the impression of depth and shape in our brains. The repetition even seems to make it vibrate, which is an added bonus. #paintserieswednesday
