I didn't read comics growing up outside of Frank Miller and Alan Moore. This year I have tried to expand my knowledge with Judge Dredd, plus authors like Daniel Clowes and charles Burns. Everything I have read rocks, but I feel like a guy hearing Napalm Death or Elliot Smith for the first time.

Absolutely wrung out by Our Share of Night. I thought I was at the limit with child death, horrific abuse causing generational mental scarring, hospitals, debilitating illness and "evil" writ large, but there is a brutal late crescendo of early 90s HIV epidemic deaths. Devastating. 10/10
