Just realized, I’ve been hella inactive on here. Wynter and I finally got married yesterday! I’ve also been trying to work my way back into content creation by writing blog posts, so you can find the first of those on my website. I think that is going to be my main focus until I start YouTube again.

Now that I think about it, I should give my OCs birthdays. 🤔

I was talking with Wynter the other day and he pointed out something interesting. I have been posting my writing publicly online for HALF of my life now. That’s so insane to think about.

Experiencing another loss. I’m skipping school today. After Wynter leaves for work, I might drown myself in my art and writing to make myself feel better. Things have been really bleak for a while now, but at least I have my stories.

Seriously considering taking all of the ideas I have for videos and just turning them into blog posts, but I honestly don't know if anyone would want to read them if they aren't writing advice posts (which is the niche I wrote in the last time I blogged).

In case anyone is wondering how the semester is going, I was assigned 175 pages of reading to get done for next week. I read for 4 hours yesterday and only made it about halfway through. This doesn't include the writing assignment I have to draft for a workshop on Wednesday. THIS IS ONLY ONE CLASS.

Got through my first week of classes, and I am already ahead in my more difficult class. Managed to buckle down and get through more than half of my reading for next week last night so I wouldn’t be overwhelmed. Things are going great so far.

So, classes start today and I just looked through the syllabus and course calendar for one of them... The prospects for getting back into making videos is not looking good at all. I still plan to write like crazy this upcoming semester, but that may be all I'm able to do. (1/3)

Today’s reading list. Let’s see how far I get. 😊 Ordered all of these with a gift card right before I sprained my finger and they just came in. Soooo excited to have something to do that isn’t watching YouTube, and I have wanted to read the rest of Phantom Tales since I read the 1st volume.

So, it is just a sprain, but I may have a benign cartilage tumor in the effected joint. Neat. I’ll be resting. At this point, I don’t think anything is serious enough that they’ll want to look into it further. Still can’t believe this happened because I tried to pick up my cat.

Just got back from the ER. So much for writing this week. Fortunately it’s just a sprain (will hear from the radiologist tomorrow if anything else is wrong), but it hurt like hell. This is just my luck, though.

Ah, yes, you’re right, Instagram. I should follow *checks notification* myself and myself.

Update on Grams: She’s on hospice care and slipping fast. She is ready to go, but I think she’s holding out to see my uncle one last time. She was coherent enough to talk to everyone a little, so I at least got to say my final goodbyes, but I probably won’t be active for a bit.

Guys, planning a wedding is SO much harder than I expected. 😭

Just woke up with a sore throat and inflamed lymph nodes. No recording for me, I guess. We’ll see how long this will last and I will reschedule videos if needed.

Yesterday's video might be the only longform video I put out this month. My grandma is in the hospital again, and it has been hard to focus. Will still try to put out shorts, though, and I will be publishing a short story on my new website on Friday! I'll share more about the story soon.

Of course, as soon as I start getting my shit in order my mouth gets infected again (impacted wisdom teeth). Waiting in the pharmacy for antibiotics now, caught it early enough to where it shouldn’t slow me down.

I got an interesting email asking me to participate in an authortube-related event (although it was sent to the email for my old channel). Seriously considering jumping on it, since it reminds me of some of the streams that I used to do... and my new channel will be mostly writing-focused.

I need to catch up on those OC question posts (and take notes for what ones I could turn into art).

Finished editing my first Langform video for my new channel! It took two days and I still have to watch it back to make sure there’s no glaring issues, but it should be fine. I really need to find a less taxing way to edit these videos, though, because my computer STRUGGLED with this one.

I’m at that weird stage of being sick where I feel fine for the most part, but doing basic tasks is exhausting and I can’t work at my desk without getting fatigued super quickly. Like, fatigued enough to get dizzy. I just wanna do the art things! 😭

Well, I guess I’m going to have to postpone the launch of my new channel and website until January. Guess who started to get sick again in the middle of the night and woke up feeling horrible? 😖

Just finished an exam and I'm waiting for my other professor to open the drop boxes for the last couple of assignments for the semester (I finished them last weekend). I AM ALMOST FREE!!!

I AM ALMOST DONE WITH FINALS!!! I’m so ready for a break and a chance to work on some of my creative projects. Also to clean my room and stuff.

It’s 2 in the morning and I am sitting in bed, scribbling notes in my notebook, because I just had an epiphany about my OCs, which may have just completely unstuck a project I’ve been trying to work on for MONTHS. This is one of the best feelings. Pieces are starting to click together.

Finished the first short video for my channel today! It won't be public until December, but I am really excited and it helped me remember how to use DaVinci Resolve. 😂

Two of my OCs, Ketsuna and Vex, are married to each other. Now that I think about it, I don’t think I have any other OCs that are married, at least not currently. Maybe I can write a short story about their wedding (I’m in wedding planning mode rn anyway).

UPDATE: Knocked out my final round of edits/additions and just submitted it somewhere else. Fingers crossed that I get good news back! It could take up to six months, but I'm not in a rush with this piece. I'll be keeping an eye out for other publications in the meantime. #amwriting #writer

I thought that I hadn't written much this year. I just checked my wordcount tracker (I made on on Notion), and it turns out that I've written 11,954 words so far this year. That isn't much compared to how much I used to write, but I am glad that I am slowly getting back into it.

My short story was rejected by a publication that I really hoped would pick it up. The rejections are starting to hurt less now, and I realized that I want to add a few things to it. While I work on that, anyone know of any queer publications looking for fantasy short stories? #writer #publication
