Re my last thread here's another story of me and Encounters With Catholics. A coworker at my first job was talking about fasting for Lent. I go "Yeah, fasting sucks." They say "right? No meat for 40 days?" I say "uh...I mean the part of no food or drink for 25 hours but yeah that meat thing too."

It's Ash Wednesday so let me share a story: In freshman year of college, I walked out of my dorm and saw a lot of people walking around with dark plus signs on their forehead. I'm Jewish with little exposure to Catholic ritual so naturally I concluded: this was some sort of Greek life thing. Nope.
