ロックマンができた時、このゲームを初見で遊べないことが何より残念でならなかった。それをひとに言っても理解してもらえなかったな。 ぼくが企画して作ったゲームだから。 ステージセレクトもロックマンの操作性もステージのギミックもボスもその弱点も。何も知らない状態で、一人のユーザーとして初見で遊びたかったという意味です。まあ理解してもらえないか😔 おっ、ステージを選ぶのか？なんだ？これはステージのボスキャラか？いきなり顔出ししてるのか？どこから行けばいいんだ？…とかね。ロックマンと最初に出会った気持ちはキミたちしか知らない。製作者はそういう気持ちを想像してゲームを作るんだ。

また怒られる件 フットホールダーは企画の最初に考えた小敵のひとつ。ランダムはよくない仕様だったと思う。

高速道路の標識には特徴がある。走行中の車から瞬時に認識できるように「公団ゴシック」というフォントが使われている。これは漢字の画数が省略されていて、これをヒントにロックマン２のオープニング文字を考えたんだ。今じゃやり過ぎたと反省してたらショベルナイトがやってた！マジか！？（笑

メットールは最初に作った小敵のひとつ。このキャラクターデザインがその後のゲームのイメージを作ったといえる。

[シュリンク]ぼくのお気に入り。いつも美味しそうって思ってしまう。ドットデザインとネーミングはTOM-PON。

ゲームを作ることは新しい世界を創造すること。誰も見たことのない世界が見たいんだ。
